Sorry for this (maybe) silly question but I received a mail with a license code (2 codes) but my copy of avast (Server Edition) downloaded from web wants a license file :-[. Can anyone help?

The Serveredition should funktion as a 60 Day Trial. After that you have to pay for it! It is not  part of the Avast Free products. It should be a file. If you bought allready, you should contact the support.

Raman, I think sgeberl purchased a license for avast Network Edition, is that correct?

this is right. After I purchased the NetworkEdition, I got a Email with two Keys and I donĀ“t know whether I made any mistake with installing the software (I did not get a Dialog for entering a Key as discribed in the Email) or Avast did not send me the correct information (Key instead of a file).

If you right click the avast icon in the systray, then left click about avast, then left click licence, what sort of license does it say you have?

Hopefully you licence should say DEMO, and look something like what is in this thread

This is right, on the server the license is demo.
