Title: why does it say my licsence was expired

i bought a yea of avast on september 16 2014 and since around November it says my license has expired? When i put the disc into my computer and try to reinstall it it says it cant install because license was banned >:(

To install avast there is no disc needed.
What are you trying to reinstall?
Where did you buy the avast license?

i got it off amazon.com it gives you the option of downloading it or getting a hard copy

Sounds to me like you where scammed.
avast doesn't provide hard copies, only downloads.

I would say file a complaint at amazon.

Buying of Amazon or eBay (or similar sites) isn't a conventional way of purchasing - there is a high possibility of getting ripped off with a hacked license file that gets subsequently banned when it is checked by avast.

At this point you only have 2 alternatives.
Pay for a legitimate license or use the free version of avast.

its not the first time i bought it from amazon, it worked fine before. Even this copy worked fine for only two months

That is already a huge clue that it is not a legitimate copy.

Contact Amazon and have them sort it out. They're usually quite helpful. If everything else fails just ask for your money back. Don't really understand why others here have a problem with Amazon selling software. They've been doing this for quite some time and there is no reason for it to be illegitimate.

You forget that there is a difference between Amazon and the "auction site" where everyone can sell things. The people who are complaining haven't bought anything from Amazon but from others.

i sent amazon a message see what happens, ive heard of people having issues with ebay but not amazon
