I've got a call from my aunt that avast! has expired and she re-registered it but was unsure. So I wanted to check it through Remote Assistance if registration was done correctly and when I got connected, all I could see was a black empty window instead of the remote desktop. Can someone explain to me what the hell was going on with avast! ?

I hope that this problem is not related to if Avast! is registered or not. That would be bad :(

No, i then manually found out that it was registered through guiding the user step by step to settings where he read me the info on screen. And it was registered correctly.

And did your aunt tried a repair ? Of cource it is stupid making such a suggestion to YOU, but I am curious if you/she mannaged to fix it :)

No, because I'm not going to bug people about something broken where they were hardly up to the task of confusing re-registration. I've said it countless times that it's TOO COMPLICATED and yet they cram bunch of selections and options to people who don't understand this sort of stuff. And when I wanted to do it easy way using Remote Assistance, it was broken. Aaarrgh.
