Title: Crashing computer
Post by: haupalong on September 23, 2005, 10:17:39 PM
I have installed avast 4.6 on my laptop and it found a Trojan horse virus, but the computer always crashes before it can complete the full search.  There is no problem with my first files so is there a way to start the search later in the files such as beginning with the windows file.

Yes, just select the folder into the "Areas" to be scanned.
There are three buttoms: one for the HDD, other for the removable media and other for the specific areas to be scanned.
Which is your OS? If you have XP you can schedule a boot time scanning too.
