You need to uninstall Qoohio 360 antivirus via add/remove and follow the instructions and when the uninstallation has been completed it will ask you to restart your computer for the uninstallation to be completed.. After that you can install Avast and when Avast installation has been completed it will do a quick start up scan and when that is done restart your computer manually and register your copy of avast. Just like Pondus mentioned in that link why using multiple antivirus program is a bad idea.

Every antivirus program has it's own uninstall utility/removal tool after the antivirus has been uninstalled so the user use that tool after uninstallation via add/remove to remove any other remnants of left over files from the uninstalled antivirus. As for Qoohio 360 antivirus I don't seem to find their uninstall utility/removal tool.

As others have said, the general recommendation is that 2 active antivirus programs should not be installed together.
Having said that, Qihoo say that they have designed "360 Total Security" to be compatible with other AV products and I know of a number of installations where this advice has been taken seriously and 360 is installed alongside Avast with no apparent issues.

I have been testing the 2 together on a PC of my own, but only with a specific configuration as follows.
Avast 2015.10.0.2208 - Custom Install, Mail Shield only.
Qihoo 360 TS  6.0.0.1124 - Standard install - Protection setting "Balanced" (default)
