I purchased a year long license to avast a year ago, but just realized they charged my credit card with their auto-renewal system.

You may also want to look into cancelling the 'auto renewal' if you haven't already done so.

I have just had a reply back from a contact at avast and they that this should now in the process or already be resolved.

Can you confirm this.
