I'm quite sure avast! doesn't change Excel association... what if you change it to the original value?

Every time after to have launched Avast , if I try to reboot my pc from 'start', a message appears saing -"DDE Server Windows" the application doesn't answer-
So I force reboot and after when windows restart, I go in Option File of Explorer in the Files Types and I see that the path of the application used to execute Excel or Word files, changes from 'c:\programs\microsoftoffice\office\excel.exe' to 'c:\programs\microsoftoffice\office\excel.exe /e' (for Excel) and 'c:\programs\microsoftoffice\office\winword.exe' to 'c:\programs\microsoftoffice\office\winword.exe /n' (for word).  I replace the wrong path and all is OK until the next launch of Avast. Please help me. Thanks.
