I did a clean install by using the removal tool first, then reinstalling fresh.
When I log into my account after reinstallation, I got the message "There are no licenses that can be used for your current device."
When I looked at devices, I noticed I had four separate instances of the same laptop??
I could remove the three other devices (or rather multiple instances of the same device) at my.avast.com so there is only now one device, but I still get the same message about no license?
According to the overview I am protected. Can someone explain this license situation to me?

If you did a clean install you need to register for another free license since it most likely removed all that information when you ran the avast uninstall tool.
