Post by: REDACTED on March 25, 2015, 09:52:35 AM
Since last update I can't connect to legit sites. With web-shield off it is possible to work some work, but not to sign in to avast forum!! You ask me how could I post this message? I've used another fully unprotected Xubuntu comp.

I'm using Avast free for 4+ years, Windows firewall is disabled, Avast firewall is off. The issue showed up after reinstalling Avast yesterday. I've noticed that after disabling/enabling web-shield thrice connections work OK

1. Download Avast Free Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_free_antivirus_setup.exe
2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions..!!)
3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
4. Reboot.
