Title: Server Error
Post by: ksshadowfax99 on April 03, 2015, 01:46:17 AM
I get this error every time I try to update anything.  I recently bought an upgrade and can't even use that because of these errors.  Avast says everything's ok, but to me it looks like I haven't received any definitions since August 2014.  Please help me to fix this.  I don't even like thinking that I'm not covered.

Well right now its Avast Free, but I had bought the upgrade to Pro.  It won't even download the new Pro version either.
Current version it says:  ffffff-ff but it also says everything's good.
OS:  64 Bit
The only other security that is used is the windows defender.
I had this pc built for me and it came with Avast.  I have had Kaspersky in the past though.

I like Avast because it doesn't interfere with my gaming.

Thanks for responding :)

First, be sure to get rid of all remnants of your prior installed AV(s)..!!
-> https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB11

Then:
1. Download Avast Pro Antivirus: https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_pro_antivirus_setup.exe
2. Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions..!!)
3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
4. Reboot.
