Title: BSOD when dismounting Jetico BestCrypt containers, suspected aswmonflt.sys prob.
Post by: Zoid on April 08, 2015, 03:09:25 AM
Getting BSOD fairly often when dismounting BestCrypt containers. I see that TrueCrypt users are having the same problem. Also, when mounting containers, the computer frequently hangs for several minutes before the containers are available. Jetico seems to think that this is related to my antivirus software.

WhoCrashed report:

crash dump file: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: aswmonflt.sys (aswMonFlt+0x60E6)
Bugcheck code: 0x7E (0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFF8000329B497, 0xFFFFF88007BEA858, 0xFFFFF88007BEA0B0)
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\aswmonflt.sys
product: Avast Antivirus
company: Avast Software s.r.o.
description: avast! File System Minifilter for Windows 2003/Vista
Bug check description: This bug check indicates that a system thread generated an exception that the error handler did not catch.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: aswmonflt.sys (avast! File System Minifilter for Windows 2003/Vista, Avast Software s.r.o.).
Google query: Avast Software s.r.o. SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

I saw a message indicating that you were working on this. Any idea of a date when the fix will be available?

Many thanks.
