Title: I can't find a version of Avaast that will open on my Mac Power PC G5

Macintosh Power PC G5 with Tiger 10.4.11. After many years great use of this marvellous computer, and learning to live with it's gradual but relentless obsolescence (no Flash Player, no updates etc) I now find both 10.4.Fox and Safari are starting to behave erratically. How do I find a version of Avaast, free or not, that can clean my machine? The download I tried could not open. Needed a 10.5, I guess an Intel processor... Any solutions?

Short answer: No, AFAIK there was never a version of Avast that worked on PPC.

Also the erratic behaviour you might be experiencing is not necessarily related to malware, my suggestion isto back up your data and reinstall your system and apps.
