Title: Internet security version different on 2 pc's side by side?
Post by: Adz on April 19, 2015, 07:05:13 PM
Hi
I noticed that the behaviour of of two pc's running side by side, (both with recent licences installed) internet security protection was slightly different.
So I checked the add-ons/extensions on the firefox's and indeed they are two different versions.
Avast Internet Security 10.1.0.170
Avast Internet Security 10.2.0.187
I tried to update from firefox buttons and it says all up to date.
Confused :/

You mean Avast Online Security ( AOS) ;)

Is the computer with AOS 10.1.0.170 updated to the latest ( stable ) program version https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=168376.0 ?
If that is the case try this :

1) Start - Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs - Avast! - Change.
2) Change.
3) Uncheck "Browser protection" to uninstall it.
4) Continue.
5) Reboot.

And now the same steps again, but in step 3 you check "Browser protection" to install it again.
