Title: Is pref toolbar good security in FF?
Post by: polonus on October 23, 2005, 08:26:42 PM
Hi Firefox fans,

You sometimes hear webmasters complain about FF's blocking features like preferences toolbar: http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum21/10010.htm.
In the hand of the power user FF can be turned into a bastion, blocking ads, script, referral info, and webmasters like to track, and they do not like browser power users putting safety things on their websites. We know for sure that if everybody could use FF to the full of its security possibilities, webmasters would no longer propagate it, it would be their enemy. My question what is the best way to block referrer information in FF. What is the best way to tweak FF with your own privacy in mind?
I think for the windows platform the browser is still the most vulnerable part? What do you think, dear forum friends?
If you do not like tracking get pref bar here: german/american versions http://prefbar.mozdev.org/installation.html
