G'day

IF I'm not fully mistaken Avast doesn't have HIPS at all in any if their Avast software package and including the free version as well, Avast only have Harden mode which is call deepsreen which is very similar to HIPS.

I cannot find the topic to explain about Harden mode post by a user name RejZoR who has full explain about Moderate and Aggressive option.

Edit: I've found it see link https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=142172.msg1032485#msg1032485

Realise that Avast seems to have ( more ) a "Behaviour HIPS", while Comodo and Outpost have a "Classical HIPS".
Although we don't know exactly what "Monitor the system for unautorised modifications" does.
That is also why we have asked for some explanation https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=172374.0
