Title: Is there truly no way to get an uninfected rescue disk?

I am trying to help a family member with a Windows 7 malware issue. Avast 2015 says to create the rescue disk from an uninfected computer. All of mine are Macs, not windows. HOW do I help her? Three days of frustration with this.
