Title: Email not being downloaded from pop server under Windows 10 Preview

This that, I hit the "check mail" button in Thunderbird, and it very quickly shows that there is email on the server to be downloaded, but it doesn't get downloaded.  I've tried renewing the certificate but no joy.  I'm not getting any error messages, the emails just don't download.
