Hello,
I'm interested in buying license for SecureLine but I would like to use it with Linux laptop (mint 17.2). Normaly it is possible to connect with VPN via Network Manager but I need to get configuration and as I saw there is only possibility to download VPN software for PC or mobile.
Any way to connect Avast VPN with Linux?
Many thanks and regards

Sorry, there is no SecureLine for Linux. Technically it is probably possible to somehow get the profile from
either the Mac or Windows version, but I would not recommend to do so as no one can give you any guarantee,
that it will still work in the future.

Are you sure about that?
I have found a user guide ( https://files.avast.com/files/documentation/user-guide-secureline.pdf ) which explains the configuration for Linux Network-Manager, but it is 5 years old.
Is this no longer possible?

Well, technically it is of course still possible. There is either a standard OpenVPN or a standard ipsec service
behind SecureLine, but the problem is with the credentials, server lists, client certificate (I'm not sure if connecting
using the ipsec shared secret is still possible) and all that stuff. For example the portal https://sl.avast.com (https://sl.avast.com)
mentioned in the document does (no more?) exist...
So although technically possible, it's really not something I would really recommend as a standard product. Even if
there is an (outdated) userguide available.

I really hope this topic is reconsidered or I may be canceling my next renewals. Offering windows and mac and andriod and simply not including the "fix" for linux seems a waste and just an easy way to exclude a portion of available customers.

As this is the most descriptive post title, that I could find, I will post here.
I am a vigorous Linux user. I would be interested in Avast SecureLine VPN if it were available for Linux (Debian/Ubuntu) as well.
I would like to make a feature request to make it available for Linux platforms too.
