Title: Avast Pro and Win 10 License Prob
Post by: REDACTED on August 17, 2015, 02:39:38 AM
I updated to Win 10 today and now my Avast Pro is saying I'm not protected and my subscription is expired. My account says I'm good till next year. I redownloaded the license file and tried to insert it but am getting an error msg saying "unable to insert the license file. The AAVM subsystem detected a RPC error". Any ideas? worked fine before this update. Thanks

Hi rc flyer :)

Did you try a clean install :

Download the Avast! Uninstall Utility (http://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avastclear.exe) to your desktop.
Download Avast! Pro (http://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_pro_antivirus_setup.exe)

Disconnect from the internet.
Uninstall Avast! via control panel.

Run the Uninstall Utility and accept the reboot to safe mode.
Once complete reboot your system.
Reinstall Avast!

Greetz, Red.

I hadn't gotten quite that far yet but will give it a shot! I appreciate the suggestion!
