Title: avast free - gaming mode
Post by: REDACTED on August 26, 2015, 06:22:39 PM
hi To avoid very annoying popups I have opted for the gaming mode of avast free 2015 but am concerned whether I will still get malware blocking warnings and suspicious file deepscreen/sandboxing messages as both are pop ups . Or do i just get no response when trying to make a download or link from a malicious or suspicious website.? Seems to me that being in gaming mode should not preclude these very important messages. Help appreciated.

Silent mode is as I have tested, truly silent no alerts no interactive windows for the likes of DeepScreen or Hardened Mode. What happens is that avast takes antonymous action to deal with the threat, send to the chest, etc. depending on the pre-set default or user set actions.

Previously I had always thought alerts would be flashed up even in silent mode.
