Hi
Just seeing the autoupdate function does not work, seems to me since a week or two... where is the problem ? Someone knows about it ? (using Avast 4.6.731)

Right click the Avast icon got to settings select update basic then confirm that virus database is on automatic

Check and ensure that your firewall allows access to avast.setup or isn't blocking it.
Are you able to do a manual update?
If neither of these work you might want to check this out.

Hi guys !
I am able to perform a manual update, just auto update are not working... before upgrading the program the auto was working... so what...? Also, I have no fire wall and is running with Win 98SE...
I am running Avast since more than 14 months with no problem... and still think it's a good antivirus, maybe I can try to re-install the program...?

After that, nothing else.. so, since about 2 weeks ago, the auto update does not works... ::)

Its time to re-register avast home, the registration lasts 14 months and you are then required to register again to receive free updates for a further 14 months. avast! 4 Home Registration (http://www.avast.com/i_kat_207.php?lang=ENG)

No need to wait try a manual iAVS update, right click the avast icon, Updating, iAVS.

I perform a manual update... OK !... I check also that the auto update did not work anymore... I just re-install the program... so I will known next tine there is a update... if the auto update function is operating... I think it will...
