Title: Windows 7 "No Internet Access" exclamation point Network Shield
Post by: REDACTED on October 05, 2015, 04:36:47 PM
We have seen an odd issue over the last few days related to Avast Network Shield.  When the network shield is enabled, it does not show anything being blocked in the avast logs but we see the yellow ! point and "No Internet Access" message popping up.  Some machines work fine and then some will not pass any layer 3 traffic.  Once we turn off the Avast Network Shield everything goes back to normal.  Has anyone else run into this.  We are considering turning off the network shield in the district to alleviate these issues.

As it turns out, the web shield is the culprit.  We turned that off and left the network shield on and the issue has gone away so far.
