I thought it would be nice to let everyone else know the in forum their are those out their who are very happy with Avast.
I have just emailed Alwil software the following !
I would just like to say what has excellent and vastly under rated product Avast Home is ! I have been using it for coming up to month now I am pleased to confirm I will stick with it . I had some of those nasty sober worms come through on the emails which Avast dealt with in a very effective manor . I am quite confident in saying that avast is even a match for the paid for product's out their. I would like to say thankyou and welldone to everybody involved at ALWIL Software . :)

There are very many others just like you who are very happy with avast.
The main problem with any support forum the people who visit are looking for support with an issue, so it is rare to have someone visit to say thanks for a great product.

Yup like me. I love Avast!, i cant believe that before i use to Pay Norton for their Antivirus. Avast! is better and at top of all is Free!. Amazing! I will keep Avast Forever. :D

I am also very pleased with avast! Home Edition (free version). NOD 32 has long been regarded as the best paid-for anti-virus, but I read a user review of avast! Home from a person who used to use NOD 32 who switched to avast! Home, he/she said avast! Home is just as good as NOD 32. That is an awesome praise for a free product.
I use a layered computer security. I run BitDefender online scanner & it doesn't find anything 'cause avast! does it's job very good. Ad-Aware SE; ewido; Firefox; Microsoft AntiSpyware; Spybot Search & Destroy; SpywareBlaster; SpywareGuard; WinPatrol; XP SP2 auto-updates guard my computer from malware. Whenever I run my scans they never find anything because they do their jobs very well. ZoneAlarm is the best firewall. Nothing gets through that is bad.
I am very pleased with these free products. I don't see how the paid-for products could do any better. I call them my a to Z Security for avast! to ZoneAlarm with Ad-Aware SE; ewido; Firefox; Microsoft AntiSpyware; Spybot Search & Destroy; SpywareBlaster; SpywareGuard; WinPatrol & XP SP2 auto-updates in between.
I certainly am not belittling the paid for products. They have great convenience advantages that are not available in most of these free programs. I do respect everyone who buys the Pro versions, it is what keeps the providers in business.

I too am extremely pleased with this program......so much so, that I have installed it on 4 home computers that are used by senior citizens......the auto update feature is a boon for them....
Hats off to Alwil for providing this software!!!..... ;D.....
