Title: Adding a new device via e-mail ... download does not do anything

Upon adding a new device an email is sent with a download button.
Pressing this 'download' button doesn't do anything. How come?
Is this a good way to re-connect the mobile device to the my  account?
Please help. I am stumbling for 2 weeks now without any perspective.
