Title: Temporariy turning Avast Free off and on

I'm trying to install the latest version of Dropbox; they recommend shutting off Avast before installation. Short of removing and reinstalling Avast, is there any way to turn Avast off and on

1. you are posting in the beta section ....
2. right click avast tray icon and pause shields

I don't know why they would recommend shutting avast down, did they say ?

I never have for my installation of dropbox.
I rather doubt that it wouldn't install if you didn't stop avast.
