Avast Passwords apps for mobile phones:

2.  Android: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.avast.android.passwordmanager

How to provide feedback
Please for specific issues set a new topic in the Beta section (https://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=15.0). For general open discussion feel free to use this thread.

Or use the feedback form in the AV program or in the SafeZone browser.

Changes from V2016 Beta 4:
- Bug fixes
- Fixed issue when installed expired paid product and it was immediately downgraded to Free
- Fixed Passwords plugin in IE
- Android version of Passwords is available for testing: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.avast.android.passwordmanager

Known issues:
- Account screens are English only
- Online Security plugin isn't installed for Firefox 64-bit
- Missing links on the SafeZone browser startpage
- Missing translations on some screens

Changes from V2015:

NEW: Passwords - Avast can now manage your passwords and generate strong passwords for you. Just one password to remember.
 - checks your passwords security
 - stores your passwords securely
 - includes browser extensions for easier logging in and form filling
 - generates strong passwords

NEW: SafeZone browser - Replaced the SafeZone for safer shopping and banking

   - Pay Mode: runs automatically on banking sites (This isolates the session and protects it from possible keyloggers or other malicious software secretly lurking on your computer. With Pay Mode you can perform all your financial transactions in peace, without fear of your password or other personal details being stolen. Pay Mode can be also turned on manually directly via browser UI.)

   - Optionally, some extensions such as Ad Blocker and Video Downloader (potentially useful as SafeZone doesn't support add-ons for security reasons).

NEW: User interface
- More space for content, easy control

NEW: Feedback possible directly from program
- report bugs, feature requests and other suggestions easier

IMPROVED: Home network security
now detects more router vulnerabilites and shows more details
IMPROVED: Installation - it should be now faster and less obtrusive.
+ Many other minor tweaks and fixed

Avast cleaner:
http://files.avast.com/beta9x/avastclear.exe

It should be possible to install this version on top of your existing avast! installation (all settings should be preserved).

To report BSODs, crashes or any other none trivial problems please use new SupportPackage generating tool.

Instructions how to use it can be easily found:

We are looking forward for your feedback!

Thank you
Avast team

Why are you still offering stupid Chrome on EVERY SINGLE bloody program update? What makes you think I want the damn thing after I've declined it 10 freaking times so far!?

Make a damn checkup of already installed 3rd party browsers like Firefox. If user already has that one, what's the chance he'll want the damn Chrome? Common sense.

And for god sake, can you people stop resetting the damn System Restore to 3% all the freaking time!? Jesus.  ::)

I could be wrong, but from memory.

I thought there was a previous agreement not to mess with the system restore size as they were going to try/implement something else.

Since the last upgrade, Avast Firewall is not working for me. Anyone else has the same problem?

Since the last upgrade, Avast Firewall is not working for me.
Repair Avast:
1. Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs -> Avast
2. Click on 'Repair'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.

Apparently no, because all my systems with BETA were stuck at 3% even though I know I've set them to 10%.

Clean install: everything work fine, except two things:

- in passwords manager when show password and show password history it's ask for my master password every time
- no passwords manager, video downloader icon in safezone, just ad-blocker

Don't know if I'm just lucky, or if it is the fact I'm using AIS instead of the free version, but I didn't see any Chrome offers for a very long time.

Yes, this is annoying as hell.

Seems I'm also lucky, same here with Avast Free. (I certainly don't miss it... ;))

The bug with passwords and undecided program "weak", "average" or "strong". When entering/saving password it says "weak", when saved it becomes "average"  :)

 >:(  for me it's also annoying that despite I have the IS version, the green label "UPGRADE" is always there on top of the UI pushing to get the PREMIER version... I would stand it for the free version, but it's too much on paid subscriptions... (considering also that the additions in the Premier version are completely meaningless to me!  :-\ )

Zeniit
Hi Zeniit,
thank you for feedback. We ask for the password again for security reasons. I understand that it can be annoying, but how often do you want to see the password. In this approach  nobody can steal your password from UI.

<snip>

Strangely I got offered it (well not offered as such opt-out) in the 11.1.2239 build - but I didn't even get the after reboot screen on the 11.1.2240 update.

Hmmm, Petr said he would fix it... :-\

Avast uses System Protection feature for NG in older Avast version. We resized system protection up to 25-50% and let OS to manage it. Then we developed our own solution and we reset it back to 3% for all users. I'll fix the code to do that only for users with 25%+. I am sorry for the inconvenience.

This nonsense HAS TO STOP. The only time System Restore might save you from lengthy problem solving and avast! creates one by carelessly deleting restore points and forcing it to 3%.

Hi. We investigated your problem and there is no possibility to delete system restore points by any software (not even avast). Restore points are just hidden, You need to check "Show more restore points".

3% was set by NG and should be fixed in Release.

Even with Windows 10 64bit? Your interface loooks like Windows 7 with Basic theme...

If you set the store size to a lower number than it previously was, the older restore points that don't fit in anymore get deleted automatically. If the number was significantly higher than 3% previously, you can lose a lot of restore points.

Also, why the hell I can't even use Browser Protection plugin in Firefox 42 64bit (it's officially released now)? It just doesn't even offer me to add it and there is no way in adding it myself. Checked the folder in avast! and there are jjust bunch files that I can't actualyl connect to the browser itself manually.

I'm not even sure if avast supports firefox 64 bit yet - are you getting its traffic monitored by the web shield ?

Everything works EXACTLY the same on 64bit version as it does in 32bit version. Except avast! browser protection plugin. And this is the exact reason why I hate 3rd party injected plugins. They never work, constantly break when they do and are just so annoying that I get fed up with them and remove them entirely.

Lets put it this way the build number doesn't appear to be final (11.1.0.210) as it is lower than the current RC2 build ???
