I found that Firewall block the internet connection after upgrade to the latest version.
I used windows 10 Pro 64-bit + avast premium
I can go to internet after disable the Firewall and Secure DNS

Hi spi, maybe I had the same problem? I also got updates from Avast as every day, then Internet stopped, I got DNS error messages, but in my case I have no idea how to secure DNS as they don't show up in my Avast Premier program.
I posted a message with my problem yesterday and I was wondering if it was an attack as all network activity stopped working
I have Win XP

perform a clean installation of avast 2016 and see if it solves the problem.
