Title: Safe Zone and the unwanted shortcut...
Post by: REDACTED on November 05, 2015, 04:07:10 PM
After opening Safe Zone a shortcut appears on my desktop, more than one might appear, opening a new window might add another. It's title is Opera 12 Notes, an HTML document, and it it's using the Vivaldi browser's V icon. I had exported my Opera 12 notes to Vivaldi after the demise of the old Opera Presto but why it should appear as a shortcut now I don't know. Vivaldi is my default browser, it uses the Chromium Blink engine as does, I expect, Safe Zone. I also have Opera Developer installed (Blink engine) and opening that doesn't create me a shortcut.
I've just noticed that in Safe Zone's bookmarks there is already Imported bookmarks > Imported from Opera, and two Imported sessions probably from Opera 12 too. Why they're there I can't think, I certainly didn't import them in the last couple of days and can't imagine why I ever would have, I've always limited Safe Zone to banking and bill paying.
Bookmarks from Firefox, Opera Developer, and IE however, haven't been imported
Anyway, why would using Safe Zone create me these desktop shortcuts and any ideas to stop it?

From memory and what I have read in the forums, I believe the new safe zone browser is based on Opera.

I just wonder because of this it imports Opera bookmarks if you have that installed.

I had this problem too. Then I run SafeZone I got a "Opera 12 Notes.html" files on Desktop.  I think it from my Opera 12 browser. How to fix this problem?
Go to folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Opera\Opera x64, find file notes.adr and delete it. ... Profit!
