Hello,

I got wrong licence message after a clean install of latest version.

I have for habit to input file at the begining of the install , now avast ask me at the end , Is it normal ?

Personally I would have left it until I had completed the install and restart.

I think it more logical to first see if the installation has completed successfully after the restart before entering a license.

Try downloading your license again - Resend avast License http://www.avast.com/resend-license-paid.php (http://www.avast.com/resend-license-paid.php), you will need to enter the email that you used when purchasing the license, e.g. the one that the original email with the link was sent.

Thanks for this quick answer

so:

- new clean install => rebooted 2 times => entering license => same bad message  :'(
- repair => rebooted => same bad message  :'(
- downloaded my license again => e-mail ok , avast send me again => entering this new ".avastlic" => same bad message  :'(

On the other hand , even with beautifull 30 days tried avast give me , my old issue I have with 2223 , 2225 and 2233 is already here

So , Can I get infected with something , corrupted registry problem ?

However , I don't get infected by full avast scan ,latest  malwarebytes , adwcleaner , JRT , Roguekiller and ZHPCleaner tests

Edit:as I said in the #17 above , I already have this issue (corrupted license)with bĂȘta last month
all right with 2218 even with 2233 expected web shield

Edit:well , at least for license issue I went back to old 2218 working version => Update from GUI  to 2233 = ok expect for web shield => Update from GUI to 2016 2241 = ok expect web shield.

I don't know why avast forget me by clean install but I have anyway to go back to 2218 to be securised.
For the second issue , as I think I'am maybe the only one to have trouble , I'm not very optimistic for a fix  :-\

When you say "entering this new ".avastlic" => same bad message" - how are you entering this ?

Two ways:
1. copy and paste the activation code into avastUI  or Insert License file, which normally gives an explorer style window and you locate where you saved the license file on your hard drive.

2. you van save the license file to your hard disk and double click on the license file and avast would insert the license into avast.

I'm at a bit of loss as to why the license file would work with older versions yet not with the latest version. As you mention this doesn't seem to have lots of others with this issue otherwise we would be seeing much more activity about it in the forums.

I don't believe that you can't get infected through a corrupt registry as such.

I think the next step would be to submit a support ticket  -  Try the following: https://support.avast.com/support/tickets/new (https://support.avast.com/support/tickets/new). In the meantime I will try to attract some attention to this topic.

entering with the way 1 , by UI -> settings->subsription-> insert a license file -> explore.....

As I said with my second edit , without a clean install , when I let the GUI make the update , it's all right for my suscription , even if I don't know why after 5 new clean install Avast doesn't want my license key.

However , it's mainly about the second issue (web shield disabled) I am worried

2 tickets opened and 2 support file sent for the same issue

My latest ticket is #13094 and support file sent yesterday is "20151105_2215_5PUWA_2782395020.zip"

Take care when submitting multiple tickets it can actually have a detrimental effect - tickets are handled on a first in first out - adding or modifying an existing ticket pushes it back. It can take between 5 to 10 working days on the support tickets.

Relating to the Web Shield issue:
What errors are you getting relating to this - or is is just reported in the avast UI/tray icon ?
What other security based applications/programs do you have installed ?

No , the first ticket was a month before , avast has change support link and precedent ticket is out as all old tickets.

My new ticket is active with an answer / day from avast guy
