Title: What is MS Windows XP by design?
Post by: polonus on December 10, 2005, 03:53:29 PM
Hello forum friends,

The mysterious ways of the Windows XP platform. Why it was designed as it was. Why for a solid defrag of all the info on a say 80 GB harddisk you need to disknuke it for a month, or better even physically attack the platters with a grinder. Where are the holes by default. Interesting read is here:
http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2004/10/298702.html.

I give the full thread without comment, I just like the facts, not the hypothetical conclusions we know nothing about, nor the bias. This could be the phantasy of someone who absolutely has no clue about the Windows build-up, has no programming background, and has made himself a laughing stock. Or he looks at the facts in a different matter, and wonder about the privacy implications by connecting a computer, and in this case a Windows XP to the net. Your conclusions will be balanced between these two points of view. If only a tiny bit of this man's rants were true? It would be bad enough.

But if you read it well, and give it a good thought, you all will come to your own conclusions. Enjoy,
