Vlk informed a new on-demmand scanning speed (http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=17979.0).
I decided to open a new thread as the subject of that one is not self-explanatory.
The difference is noticiable! 8)
Specially if you're running it in background, using the computer at same time.

I'd say it's somehow strange... if the difference will be noticable at all, it certainly won't be that big. Did you run another scan before the second one that may cause the files to be in cache (thus speeding up the disk access)? Or maybe some other, CPU intensive task, was running during the first scan?

No. The cache was empty.
