Title: Avast suddenly blocking Pandora desktop app
Post by: REDACTED on December 05, 2015, 10:34:09 PM
I've been using both Avast and the Pandora desktop app (the Pandora that plays music, that is) just fine for several months now. But today when I went to open up the app, Avast blocked it from opening. The message that pops up reads:

Avast File System Shield has blocked a threat. No further action is required.
Object: C:\Users\...\Pandora.exe
Infection: Win32:Evo-gen [susp]
Action: Moved to chest
Process: C:\Windows\System32\msiexec.exe
The threat was detected and blocked just before the file was opened.

The popup gives me an option to report it as a false positive and/or add the file to the scan exclusion list, but doing so still doesn't allow me to open the program; every time I do, Avast just blocks it again. I tried manually adding it to the exclusion list in the options menu, same deal. The only way I can actually open the program is by disabling Avast and re-enabling it.

I've been using this for months without any problems, so I know it's safe. Is there something else I can do to allow it to run aside from temporarily shutting down Avast every time I want to listen to music?
