Title: 4.6 Home: does "Web Protect" work ?
Post by: AsunciÃ³n on December 12, 2005, 05:32:49 PM: I have "Web Protect" activated. But under "Latest File Checked" / "Latest Infection" there is never an entry / url.
I wonder why.

Do you have any other antivirus in your computer? Any other security program intalled?
Which firewall do you use? ashWebSv.exe is allowed to connect?
Without info we can't help you...

You'll have to set up your browser to use the WebShield port (12080).

ashWebSv.exe is the WebShield executable.
Each time you try to browse it will scan the internet traffic.
But it should be allowed to connect into FRITZ!WEBProtect firewall.
