Title: Problems with updating "unreachable host"
Post by: REDACTED on January 13, 2016, 07:48:29 PM
Hi. I use the avast 11.1.22 version on windows 7 with comodo firewall. When I try to update avast, a sentence "unreachable host" appears and, thus, updating results unsuccessful. I tried uninstalling  and reinstalling avast in all ways without any result. How can I fix this problem? Thanks

Thanks for your suggestion. Even though I updated my program via link, the problem was not fixed.

Make sure avast is allowed in the firewall.
Check the log(s) and see if something from avast is blocked.
If it is, set the correct rule for it in the firewall.

I have uninstalled my firewall but the problem is always present. Avast does not updating.

Osin that only happens if you are using a old avast version.
