I just noticed this as I had two new computers today.  Both running Windows 10 Pro, and both didn't crash TASKHOSTW.EXE when restarting or shutting down.

Glad to hear taskhostw.exe issue is solved...  :)

But Windows Vista issue - https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=180310.0 - is still alive...  >:(

Can anyone confirm that computers that previously had the taskhostw issue no longer have this issue?

Good. 10.4.2509 solved the TASKHOSTW issue for the two computers I looked at today.

Ok, a new version has been released.
For me it updated without a problem and is running fine.

But again....
No word from avast about it, no change log etc  >:(

Just note that it's been two days of the release of this update and if it was not by me or by someone else, nothing had yet been spoken about it...
I note that another sub-forum, the beta versions, the position is no different ... It seems that we are part of a forum without any link with the company...

It seems to become a rule... a bad one...  :-X
