You get what you paid for.
You can disable pop-ups in the paid versions.

Besides that, the pop-ups have been reduced (if not gone) in the latest avast version.
What exact version do you have installed ?

Don't forget that avast is a commercial company.
The money for staff, development and such has to come from somewhere.
