How can I get it on Internet Explorer?

You can even do this! Under Add/Remove. click on Avast and remove the Avast Online Security. After that restart manually.

Since the App isn't available in the Windows APP Store, you can't add it.

That is bad and a Microsoft restrictive policy. Not very Avast friendly.
Does that also mean you cannot have it as an extension when you make the Google Chrome or firefox app your default browser via Settings- System- Standard-apps -When asked whether you like these as default either set Google Chrome or firefox as your default browser before MS sends you to the Standard App Screen again. Microsoft sort of sets a preference to Edge. :(
Is Windows 10 really that restrictive to user's choice that you cannot install apps/extensions from the Google Webstore
then it is ad bad as Google on Google Android where you cannot escape their Admob ads?

Don't have a clue what you're trying to get across Damien. AOS isn't available through the Windows store therefore can't be installed on the latest version of IE.

Let me be more specific when I have installed firefox and/or google chrome as default browser in Windows 10 can I then install Google Chrome or firefox-specific extensions/add-ons in these browsers on Windows 10 or only those Windows 10 allows? I do not have enough experience with Windows 10 to know the answer to this question.

Which is somewhat different to what your first post stated.
How can I get it on Internet Explorer?
And the answers given are that currently you can't. Only when avast are able/allowed to (or inclined to) get it in the windows store.

That link is old hat and as Bob said, the avast AOS add-on is signed now. So it should be working on Firefox 45.x.x. Working on mine.

Yea that was dated news with AOS in earlier fx, works fine for me in both firefox and in Google Chrome now.
Mighty important users have it installed, a wrong click on a search result link could get you into a lot of unecessary trouble.
Everyone should have it.
Avast is making improvements again.

I just got on IE 11 and the AOS Extension is there. I thought you couldn't get it on windows 10. I didn't look for it in the Windows App store.
