Title: Virus warning won't stop popping up
Post by: REDACTED on May 02, 2016, 08:28:12 PM
I have the free version of avast.  I received an email that avast flagged as having a virus and sent to my junk folder.  I permanently deleted the email.  I emptied the junk and trash folders.  I rebooted.  I uninstalled and reinstalled avast.  I scanned my entire system with avast and it didn't find any other issues.  It still keeps popping up the infection blocked message every 5-10 minutes.  I'm using Mac's native mail app.  How do I get rid of this???????

Deleting the infected mail (so it is removed from the mail server) is the only solution, when the mail client fetches the infected mail again and again.

That worked, thanks!  I thought gmail was in sync, but it wasn't for the spam folder.
