Title: processes

since i have avast installed i noticed that i have six processes running just for avast. do i really need all them running?
alg.exe
ashdisp.exe
ashmaisv.exe
ashserv.exe
ashwebsv.exe
aswupdsv.exe

alg.exe is part of Windows - application layer gateway.

It depends on what you need to protect.

ashdisp.exe is the 'icon' on system tray
ashmaisv.exe is avast! e-Mail Scanner Service
ashserv.exe is avast! antivirus service
ashwebsv.exe is avast! Web Scanner
aswupdsv.exe is update module

For alg.exe I'm not sure.
