Looks like youre working your butts off to get this working and released :)
But please scan unknown files from wherever they are coming not internet only there are much more attack vectors.
Also anything about the HIPS finally getting working and Ransomware porotection feature that was mentioned a while ago?

What is this ??? why the virus database is falling? In this beta.

What is this ??? why the virus database is falling? In this beta.
Not very clear what you are asking - If you mean the Number of definitions, them you should have seen this before it happens a couple of times a year.
It is called optimisation of the definitions, signatures can detect multiple variants of a virus. Presumably this optimisation could also speed up virus scanning.
I haven't seen this yet on my 11.2.2262 systems shows massive quantity.
-
Thanks for the update :)

Can I finally get an answer what the hell is going on with the HIPS "sensitivity" setting? It totally locked system up till 2268 and I'm still afraid to try it in 2269. No mentions under known issues is even more worrying...
EDIT:
Also, why is CyberCapture designed to only catch unknown files if they originate from web? What about USB drives? What about CD's and DVD's? What about new unknown files that get generated locally by unverified application?

why it is different from Stable version? :-\

I guess they would first see it in the beta channel, when you install the beta it is possible start with the new optimised database. We will just have to wait and see.
I can't see 1.8 million+ signatures just disappearing if there wasn't a reason.

+1.You got my point. :D
Avast! have to answer this.
-
They've done this before. They can see statistics based on detection. And if some signature hasn't generated a hit for years, they'll remove it from definitions into the cloud detection. You're still protected, just through different means.

Hi,
Is there any improvements in computer startUp with this beta ? (faster bootup time ?) compared with the latest stable 11.2.2262

Can you screenshot the "more details" window as well. Also, have you received results already? I'd like to see how verdict is given to the user as well.

No results yet, im keeping an eye on it, currently running that file through Hybrid Analysis.

Cool. I wonder how avast! displays the verdict. I mean, how do they notify the user. I hope they will include a sound for that, because that's the only time I'd like to use it. So I get vocal notification about finished analysis if I'm just playing a full screen game or a full screen video and I don't see popups/messages.

Im hoping for something like that too, right now the file is blocked completely from running.
Its 1/56 (Qihoo) on VirusTotal BTW.
