Title: Can't figure out how to authorize password sync for mobile

trying to set up password sync from PC and Mobile. Where am I suppose to enter the authorization code on my PC? i am not receiving any prompt to enter the authorization code on my PC and don't see any place to enter it within Avast.

Sorry but this doesn't answer the question. The articles state that you are suppose to enter the authorization code and shows pictures but I am not seeing where to enter the code on the PC and not receiving any prompt to do so.

I have already followed all of the instructions for setting up and configuring the accounts. This is not my question.

My question involves where to enter the sync authorization code. The articles seems to indicate that Avast on the PC should prompt me to enter the authorization code but it doesn't. The articles are unclear on this.  Should I be receiving this prompt or is there a location in Avast to enter the authorization code?

As previously stated, I have already read all of the articles and gone to the link you provided. The link that you provided takes me to the same article. My PC is already synchronized. Therefore,  I clicked on the Android system tab for instructions and followed the instructions regarding setting up a second device, which in this case in my android phone with Avast passwords installed on it.

After configuring and signing into my Avast account on my Android device and turning on synchronization in the Android device, the instructions in the article state, "To authorize the new device, accept the request on your previously authorized Android, PC, or iOS device."

In this case, the authorization code should be appearing in the Avast user interface on my PC, but it isn't, or I am looking in the wrong place,

The problem I am having is I am not receiving any sort of prompt in the Avast user interface on my PC to enter the authorization code that I am seeing on my Android phone. Where should this authorization code be entered in the Avast user interface on my PC?

I have attached a screen print of what I am seeing in my PC avast user interface.

Please just answer this question, and don't point me to the same articles again.

I will never purchase another Avast product and I will not be renewing any of my Avast subscriptions. Your responses are ridiculous.

There is nothing ridiculous in pointing someone to very clear instructions on what/how to do something.

- Install avast passwords
- Enable synchronization
- Login to your account
- Enter the main password for the device
- Install avast passwords on the second device
- Follow the instructions "Synchronizing subsequent devices"

Eddy,

I'm having the same issues as mcompagno. I've followed all the steps, I've gone to the article you've indicated and I'm unable to authorize my android device. At Step 5 under "synchronize subsequent devices," I do not receive any prompt on my PC to accept the request.

Open the avast UI > Passwords
Are you seeing the account name there ?
If yes, what is listed under "my other devices" ?

I was having the same problem with my new GS7. Finally figured it out.
I had my PC up and on my GS7, wen tto the Syc and back up tab.  When it had the code for my, at the bottom of that screen there is a logout and quit (something like that). Once it logged me out (and there was a notice about deleting passwords on my device, I clicked OK) I shut down the app, then restarted it.  Logged in with my AVAST Web account username and password, then I was finally able to get to the Sync and backup screen. It showed my a list of authorized devices, (I removed my old cell phone, since it's not working anymore,) then back at the app's main screen clicked on the three dots in upper right, and sync was listed.  Clicked on it, and now I have my passwords that were strored!

Sorry, forgot to mention, watch you Avast icons on your PC. They may only flash.  a message should be there asking if you want to approve or authorize your new device. That will appear before you can sync the passwords.

Hello i seem to be having the same problem a lot of people are having, i can not sync my passwords acroos my two devices. I believe i need my group deleted and then i can start a new one to generate a email so i can link my two devices. This  has got to be one of the most stupid systems i have come across yet. When i log in to my page all the information about my devices is there why is it so difficult to make them just sync? Please can some one resolve his soon.

Hi,
If you want to sync passwords with more devices just install Avast passwords on the other device, sign up, choose master password (it can be different on each device!). Your new device must be authorized by another device. If notification not arrived check internet connection and also e-mail account - it must be the same on both devices. If still not arrived, may the notification have been lost for some reason but you can go to the application settings on active device and watch the list of active devices and devices waiting for approve. You can approve access to your pending device.

On each platform (Win, Mac, iOS, Android) we have device approval available. On mobile devices and mac you should see notification about new device has been added and you can follow up from there. Note that it is only shown on devices which are already trusted (fully authorized). On windows or in case notification is not shown you may always do it from application settings.
