Does anyone know if avast! generates a virus report?

avast generates report not about viruses but about the scan it performs. Just then if viruses are found they will be included in the report.

If you have a Home version you can set avast to create report file. Go to Programs Settings\Report File.

If you have Pro version switch to:
Enhanced user interface\Tasks\Choose for what task you want avast to create report file\Right click\Properties\In the left panel scrool to the bottom and check 'Report file'.

And forgot to mention. That generated report will be located in this folder:

C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\report\

And the name of the file will be the name of the scan you have performed:

i.e. Resident protection.txt, Scan: local disks.txt, aswBoot.txt...

By the way, welcome to the forums  ;)
