I've been trying to update my virus definition files on my Avast 4.0 for two weeks now, but no good. I right-click the Avast icon, and nothing happens.
I figured I'd reinstall Avast and start from scratch, but I get the following error when trying to uninstall:
"Error loading C:\PROGRA~1\ALWILS~1\Avast4\Setup\setiface.dll
The specified module could not be found."
I'm running Avast on Windows XP, by the way.
Hope someone can help me out.

Problem solved!!
I googled "setiface.dll + download," downloaded setiface.dll and dragged it into the setup folder, and I'm able to download updates again. But it's a good thing this board is here, nonetheless.
I've seen nothing but good things from Avast. I download from Kazaa from time to time, and if there's a virus, the alarm goes off. Thanks, Avast!

Just curious -- where did you download the setiface.dll from? The pcsc.co.uk site?
Thanks
