Recent problem in the last week with Avast PC running Windows 10. Typing text with my USB Keyboard doesn't work. Either nothing happens when I type, or it triggers an unrelated response like opening a window. I am using the most up to date paid version of Avast Internet Security
I followed the "Unresponsive Keyboard" fix recommended by Avast Support docs -- I used Regedit to delete "aswKbd" from the appropriate files in the registry, but that didn't help. I double checked and the entry was successfully deleted. I tried using a different Keyboard, but that didn't make a difference
After a lot of trial and error, I figured out a temporary fix In Avast settings. In "Active Protection," I disable "File System Shield," briefly quit settings and then re-enablenabled it. Basically I am turning Virus protection off and then right back on. After I do that, every thing works normally until I shut down the PC. When I restart, I have the same problem & have to do the same temporary fix.
Any suggestions for a permanent fix?
TIA

I have solution, this is working. Avast browser in Security and Privacy Center Disable phishing protection and anti-traking, then re-enable it.
