Title: Version 12.2.2276 created a new Network Profle for SecureLine upon booting ?
Post by: Rednose on July 29, 2016, 12:38:57 PM
Hi guys :)

First I updated to AIS version 12.2.2276 from the GUI, and everything seemed to went fine.
But after rebooting I got a pop-up that a new network was found, which is clearly related to Avast SecureLine that I have also installed and use ( screen 1 ).
Strange thing is that I can't remember I ever had such a pop-up for SecureLine, and definitely not when updating to a new version.

There is also a new network profile listed under Tools - Firewall - Settings - Network profiles , as expected ( screen 2 ).
But I am not sure if that was also the case in previous versions of Avast.

A clean installation gives the same result, except the ' new network was found ' pop-up for SecureLine comes up when using it for the first time after booting.

P.S. The screenshots are made with - and after the clean installation, so other networks I ( have ) use(d) are not shown.
That is also the reason I am confused now, as I am not sure what was exactly listed :-\

I rolled back to the previous version with a saved image backup, and now it is clear to me that the Firewall in version 12.2.2276 indeed creates ( a ) new/different network profile(s) that the older versions didn't.
No idea why though, so I will put this forward to the Avast Moderators.
