Title: missing dll from lastest update

Since I got the latest program update Avast no longer starts up with the computer, I get an error message instead. My brother also is having this same problem after getting the lastest update. He also has windows 98 with the second edition upgrade. the error is:
The ASHBASE.DLL file is linked to  missing export ASWCMNB.DLLlog@CLog@@QAAKHKGQAEKZZ

Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks for any help.
 
What operating system are you using? Windows 98 with the second edition upgrade
What version of avast! are you using? I can no longer open the program to get the version number.
What version of VPS file are you using?  I can no longer open the program to get the version number
What is your basic hardware configuration?  AMD-K6 processor 160 MB Ram
How do you connect to Internet? dialup
What is your e-mail client? Outlook Express
Do you use some other security software? NO
What are the steps to reproduce the bug again? either starting the computer or trying to open Avast will bring up the error
Do appear some error messages? The ASHBASE.DLL file is linked to  missing export ASWCMNB.DLLlog@CLog@@QAAKHKGQAEKZZ
