You could download the Media Creation Tool and get the Upgrade that way and install it if you don't want to wait.

A small jump to related topic. I've got the update and a very strange thing happened after. I had two external USB HDD drives. After update both of them are not working - Windows says it's not even formated. 1 HDD - I thought maybe my mistake, but both at the same time?  :o They there even not connected to PC during upgrade. Had no other option, just re-format both of them.

I used this site to update 2 computers, had no problems

You could download the Media Creation Tool and get the Upgrade that way and install it if you don't want to wait.
Here's how you can get it as well without waiting any longer:

Go to Menu/Settings
-choose Updates and Security
---make sure you are on the Windows Update tab
-----look under the heading "Update Settings", don't click "Check for Updates" as it keeps telling me I'm up to date.
-------click on the link for "Learn More"

That should take you to the Microsoft Support website where you can click on "Get the Anniversary Upgrade Now".  It will first download a helper program that will check to make sure your system can upgrade to Windows 10 Anniversary (which is a little strange since you are already running Windows 10, mine gave me three checks).  Then it will start the processes.

Thanks everyone! I used the method described in reply #3
Updated running good for now. Windows Defender was "on" now "off".
Thought it a good idea to go through all of my personal Win10 settings.
Had to download the latest version of Classic Shell. Classic Shell has made it easier to find the Win10 start menu.
No more shift+left or shift+right click.

@Bob Never thought about trying "learn more".

edit: Had to restart SuperEasy Live Defrag Free manually via the GUI.

There certainly isn't any problem finding the Windows 10 Start menu.
It sits at the bottom left corner when the start menu was always found. (Except in Windows 8) :)

A few others are having issues with Windows Anniversary Edition:  https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/4vufpo/windows_10_fully_freezes_after_anniversary_update/ (https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/4vufpo/windows_10_fully_freezes_after_anniversary_update/) &
An aside, you could've used an Ubuntu Live CD to verify whether your external drives were corrupted or not.

Yes, that idea came to me later  ;D Yet, I have know USB drive with latest Ubuntu inside, as yes, I am sure I could save the files before reformatting drives to work on Windows again.

I wasnt too happy about been forced this type of update which mostly seemed to add features that only apply to a phone/tablet, i miss the days when you can pick and choose what updates to apply. But everything seems to have gone smoothly except for a minor issue with my headset but that was fixed quickly.

Also ive noticed that the windows notifications seem abit slow on the uptake to make a noise and popup, like it took a whole 3 mins before it displayed that malwarebytes anti exploit was protecting my firefox after opening the browser.

On another note. How do you turn off auto install/restart of updates on the updated windows 10? There no longer is an option to restart myself when im ready. I dont mind them downloading and installing but i want to restart my pc on my terms not microsofts.

Use the change active hours option, above "Restart Options"

But its confusing as hell with its "active hours can be set between 1 and 12 hours" and theres still no option for me to manually restart when i want to like before the update.
