Title: Windows 10 latest update has now activated 'Defender'
Post by: northgeorgia on August 08, 2016, 09:57:48 PM
Hello,
I have Avast Nitro (free) active on my computer. Windows 10 has just done their "BIG" anniversary update. It was huge....took a long time to download and install.  Anyway it has activated the 'Defender' option.  "They" recommend running both 'Defender' and 'Third Party Virus' Programs. Do I want to do that? Run Defender and Avast at the same time?

If it's turned on, this is what you should see:

It's off by default. If you want the periodic scans, you first need to turn it on. :)
