First ... in this thread some one mentions Avast + McShield and once a week a scan with MBAM.

Now I already use Avast ( Duhh.:) ) and MBAM Free, and after looking at McShield on their website it looks to me like it does things that Avast already does? ( Or am I mistaken in that? )
The second thing is that when I first installed Avast again after a longtime I also hat VoodooShield installed, but it would no longer start up no matter what I tried. Is this also because Avast does the things VoodooShield does. ( Well up to a certain point at least? )

Yes and No
MCShield only target those type of malware that use removable drives to spread
It mostly do so on how they spread so for most part it dont need signature to detect
It is only active at computer startup and when you plug in a USB device so it use no system resource
And does it work?
oh yes just surf the Viruses and Worms forum section and see all the USB devices cleaned by the malware removal team ... on computers using avast

I almost forgot to ask again after my question about MCShield was answered, but does any one know why I could not use VoodooShield any more after I started using Avast? I tried excluding VoodooShield back then, but it would not work, so I hat to uninstall it.

Hmm so the most obvious reason. Still, odd that it worked perfectly with the previous AV I used. I could use 360 TSE with VoodooShield with out a problem, and with out having it sap my system?
Oh well, I have my answer and I no longer use 360 TSE, thank you Eddy. :)

Thank you bob3160, but I will not do that. I really like VoodooShield but I will not lessen the protection that Avast gives.
