Title: Mozilla Issues with Script Scanning?
Post by: REDACTED on August 22, 2016, 03:46:26 PM
Hello everyone! I've been using Avast for a while, and recently i started having some strange issues with FireFox.

At times my FireFox will be extremely slow, unresponsive, and take a while for action to occur. This usually happens on sites with unresponsive scripts normally, but the issue happens on sites with almost no scripts at all.

At first I attributed this to adblock plus, but there was apparently nothing from their end.

I kind of ignored the issue for a while, except at some points it would get annoying and constant. Oddly enough, it seemed very consistent when Skype was open in the background, so i assumed that was the cause.

However, today I was looking at webshield options for Avast and saw Scan Scripting.

While I'm not 100% sure its the cause, turning it off seemed to have removed the issue.

Should i keep the Scan scripting enabled regardless? Or am I safe in keeping it disabled?
